Pousada Luz Divina (Home of Divine Light)
Located in the quaint village of Abadiania, Goias, Brazil, your home away from home, Pousada Luz Divina, is awaiting your arrival. It is a simply and beautifully appointed bed and breakfast serving three meals a day, with a variety of rooms available accommodating small to medium size groups and individuals comfortably. It is owned by Americans living in Abadiania, and has a simply beautiful Brazilian staff. The staff is warm and enthusiastic; full of love, laughter, and heart. Sandra, the manager, speaks English very well.
The serene atmosphere combined with the hearts of those who come to stay with us creates an open forum for healing and sharing on many levels. The front gate of the bed and breakfast is a five minute walk to the Casa de Dom Inacio. Taxis are readily available for R$10 (approx. $5 US) for those unable to walk.
The gardens and views are tropical and lush, with flowers and fruit trees. The wonderful aromas are a daily treat. Hammocks hang from large trees for lounging. The sunset views from the lawn are spectacular in rich hues of purple, red, orange, and turquoise. A beautiful and simple meditation room is open to all guests with both benches and floor pillows. Quiet hours begin at 9 p.m. each evening. Wireless internet is free and is accessible in the rooms and common areas.
The rooms are all furnished with private bathrooms, showers, solid beds, comfortable mattresses, mattress covers, cotton linens and towels, nightstands with drawers for storage, a desk/wardrobe for additional storage, 4 foot hanging clothes rods, lamps, rugs, ceiling fans, window screens, clocks and nightlights, and are painted light and peaceful shades of lavender, peach, or cream.
Three delicious home cooked meals are prepared daily. A variety of fruits, salads, vegetables, rice, and meats are served to suit vegetarian, vegan and meat lovers’ diets. Breakfast includes cereal, toast, eggs, fruit, breads, teas, fresh fruit juice, hot chocolate and coffee.
